Kiwis to attempt Antarctic Crossing
In November 2006 Kevin Biggar and Jamie Fitzgerald are going to attempt to man haul from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and then return back to their starting point using traction kites. In the spirit of the original Antarctic explorers they will be unresupplied and start with all the provisions they need. This journey has never been done before unsupported.
Its a good thing they are fit buggars, in 2003 they won the Trans-Atlantic rowing race in world record time!!!
